Welcome to the new Teen Family Centre web page

The Teen Family Centre is a Community driven organisation which provides a number of services to teenage parents to assist them in achieving their goals. This is possible through partnership with Balga Senior High School and through funding by FACSIA and the Smith Family.

The Teen Family Centre currently operates two programs listed below.

Balga Senior High School Child Care Centre and Young Parents Program

The Balga Senior High School Young Parents Program provides a service to enable young parents to complete their secondary education. The program has a licenced and accredited Child Care Centre on school campus, has specialised support staff allocated to the young parents and has one timetabled day per week to run parenting and life skills workshops.

Teen Parent Support Unit

The Teen Parent Support Unit offers holistic support to young parents through direct support, counseling, advocacy as well as workshops and activities. The unit works with young parents individually to assess their needs and assists parents to achieve their goals by developing pathways, including referrals and links with other agencies.
