We are seeking young parents who want to complete their High School Education!

The Teen Family Centre is funded to deliver services and support to young parents and expectant young parents seeking to engage into High School Education. The Teen Family Centre plans and delivers the Young Parent Program, an endorsed program for the young parents to build and develop parenting and life skills while obtaining their West Australian Certificate of Education (WACE).

The Young Parent Program is delivered every Thursday at Balga Senior High School for the young parents and includes Child-Parent bonding activities and Life Skills workshops throughout the day. 

The program is free for all young parents under the age of 18 years, and they have access to support from the dedicated Parent Support Worker and the Childcare Centre. The Parent Support Worker will support the young parents to attend appointments, apply and understand Centrelink benefits, educational support and housing support. The Parent Support worker will also provide pregnancy information on a weekly basis to expecting young parents who are attending the program
